‘Curation’ – ‘Listen – you can hear the sea’

Like many artists and makers I am fascinated by found objects – both natural and manmade – but primarily those found in the landscape around my home. I am a compulsive collector – “a snapper up of unconsidered trifles”- and also of books, ephemera and artwork – drawings, paintings, prints and ceramics – anything that catches my eye and is affordable!

I worked for many years as a freelance craft curator / exhibition organiser and met many diverse and talented artists and makers during this time.  As a curator and collector I enjoy bringing disparate elements together and arranging them into some kind of new and interesting ‘whole’.  This habit is reflected in my artistic practice.
